Prophetic Medicine

Qubah Initiative and Afiyah Institute present the Prophetic Medicine course expounding the medicinal and nutritional remedies for human well-being provided by the traditional Muslim World

The 8 week course, covers a much forgotten Islamic science, that of the Medicine of the Prophet. The Mercy of Allah is such, that He would not have left Man without the knowledge of healing oneself and others, be it spiritual or physical. Nor has Allah forsaken the earlier more technologically primitive generations from the wisdom of healing until the invention of the MRI scanner and other advanced instruments were made.

Indeed the bounty of Allah is so great that He has through his blessed Messenger ﷺ provided divine insights to what can cure the body and soul for all generations.

The following course will also cover various aspects of medicine and healing where ancient Greek practices will be analysed along with those of Islamic intellectuals. The primary focus will be on the Prophetic instructions of Muhammad ﷺ.

Hadith narrations on various ailments and diseases will be analysed to see how they can be applied along with discussion on over arching principles relating to a balanced body and healthy state according to the Sunnah.
